Full or Partial Dentures - Dentures can help take the place of missing natural teeth . Dentures allow a patient to chew and speak more easily while improving their appearance often boosting self-confidence. Full dentures are used when al of a patient’s teeth need to be replaced. Partial dentures are used when only a few teeth are missing. In either case, dentures can help you look and feel younger. With advances in implant dentistry these appliances can be securely attached to new or existing restorations or natural teeth without unsightly metal clasps.

Inlays/Onlays - Inlays and onlays are tooth colored restoration sculpted to a precise fit to fill cavities and restore strength to damaged teeth. Onlays are more extensive than inlays, covering the entire surface of the tooth. Onlays are most often used when the extent of tooth decay makes inlays and regular fillings unrealistic options. Both of these restorations are ultimately bonded to the tooth, thus a very strong restoration.
Implant Restorations - If you have dental implants, you know of the many benefits that you will have. Implants (artificial “tooth roots”) replace missing teeth so well, that they will look and feel very natural and bone loss is prevented. We restore dental implants with an emphasis on the biting forces being distributed evenly in order not to stress the implants. The implant crowns are beautiful and a permanent restorations that can be used to secure dentures. Contact us today.
Microabrasion - also called “drill-less dentistry”, it allows you to have dental work performed without the anxiety that sometimes goes with it. Many people dislike the sounds and feelings of drills. This amazing new procedure allows us to remove cavities and decay without using a drill. Instead, microabrasion works by spraying very small particles of aluminum oxide (or a similar substance) on the teeth. Because the particles are mixed with pressured air, they are strong enough to remove cavities, stains, and decayed or damaged tooth structure. Microabrasion is painless so it does not usually require the use of anesthesia.

Orthodontics - We strongly believe in non-surgical, conservative orthodontic treatment that does not involve extracting teeth. Re-positioning teeth within the facial structure to achieve better esthetic results is our goal. We also treat each case in a comprehensive manner that involves a study of the TMJ in order to eliminate any TMJ problems that may be associated with your bite. Re-positioning and re-aligning is achieved with mini-brackets that are tooth colored, clear removable custom aligners or appliance therapy (retainers).
Root Canal Therapy - All teeth have root canals. These canals are filled with a network of nerves and tissue known as pulp. Sometimes the pulp can become inflamed or infected. When teeth are growing, pulp helps to nourish them but as teeth mature, the pulp can safely be removed. This procedure can save teeth from eventually being lost or having to be removed. Once the infected pulp is removed, a post is placed and a crown is placed over the tooth. Contact us today.
Sedation Dentistry -also known as “sleep dentistry” alleviates any fear of dental appointments. With the methods available, you can remain completely relaxed at your dental appointment. Sedation can be achieved by either taking a small pill shortly before your appointment. Once you are dropped off for your appointment, we assist you in resting comfortably. You will remain conscious during your treatment, and we constantly monitor your vital signs to ensure your safety.

TMJ Neuromuscular Dentistry- According to the TMJ Association, 10.8 million people suffer from temporomandibular joint syndrome (TMJ) . The condition is usually caused by an improperly aligned jaw that contributes to many problems including neck, shoulder and eye discomfort, ringing in the ears and most commonly jaw pain. Neuromuscular dentistry aims to cure TMJ by re-training muscles and tissues to properly align the jaw at rest. If the jaw is not in proper position at rest, it must work harder to perform basic functions such as chewing and speaking thus repeatedly injuring surrounding muscles. Dr. Kohani will identify the sources of this type of jaw discomfort. After a series of diagnostic tests and bite analysis, Dr. Kohani performs the most conservative, non-surgical treatment either by utilizing appliance therapy or reconstructive dentistry procedures as needed to ensure patients a healthy, pain-free beautiful smile.
Over the years we have treated many patients with severe TMJ and dysfunction who were told that surgery was their only treatment option.
Veneers- Veneers have been the latest secret to a Hollywood smile. This area is a particular area of expertise for Dr. Kohani. He has worked with world renowned master ceramists in achieving flawless results and is proficient in this art form. By placing a thin layer of custom porcelain material over your natural teeth, veneers can hide cracks, spaces and chips. This treatment is conservative and can be achieved in most cases retaining all of your natural tooth structure using tooth colored composite bonding material. Discolored teeth can now be white and crooked teeth will look straight (“instant orthodontics”). Veneers can be used to make small teeth look longer or to make uneven natural teeth the same length. Porcelain and composite veneers can be matched to your original tooth color, making your result look naturally beautiful.
